Pepsi Mic Drop Collection is the first-ever brand NFT from Pepsi!

With a massive drop featuring one-of-a-kind Generative-Style NFTs, the collection honours the brand’s legacy in music.

Pepsi announced the Pepsi Mic Drop genesis NFT collection yesterday, marking the company’s first entrance into the fascinating and developing world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Pepsi is developing 1,893 (to represent the year Pepsi was born) unique generative-style NFTs that went live on the Ethereum blockchain today, Friday, December 10 at 12:00 PM EST, and are available to users for free (outside of gas fees).

The Pepsi Mic Drop genesis NFT collection’s exclusive generative traits, which are generated randomly by an algorithm to ensure that each NFT is completely unique and different, pay homage to the brand’s storied history in music as well as the suite of Pepsi flavours that have captivated unapologetic cola-loving consumers for decades. The Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs is inspired by legendary Pepsi flavours such as classic blue Pepsi, silver Diet Pepsi, scarlet Pepsi Wild Cherry, black Pepsi Zero Sugar – even fan-favorite Crystal Pepsi – and many more.

Pepsi is establishing a waitlisting mechanism at the outset of the user experience to guarantee that consumers have a more equal experience with more reasonable gas expenses and secure participation. Today  at 12:00 p.m. EST, the Pepsi Mic Drop wallet queue started on micdrop.pepsi.com. From there, proceed as follows:

  • Consumers who have been authorized for the wait-list will be able to mint one of 1,843 Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs for free on Tuesday, December 14 at 12:30 p.m. EST (not including Ethereum gas fees). Consumers should keep an eye out for the remaining 50 NFTs, which will be used for other intriguing projects in the near future.
  • The token will be created and given directly to the consumer’s wallet after they have been authenticated.
  • Consumers will be able to identify their specific Pepsi Mic Drop NFT and will be able to list it on OpenSea or any other third-party platform at any time by complying with the terms of service of the platform they choose.

Pepsi is creating a carbon offset scheme for the introduction of the Pepsi Mic Drop NFT to assure a net carbon footprint of zero, in line with the Pepsi brand’s thought leadership in innovative marketing strategies.
