With the launch of the world’s first music, art, and technology festival that will focus on blockchain assets, a new milestone for the adoption of NFTs is approaching.
As the world’s largest NFT investment fund, Metapurse unveiled their festival project, Dreamverse, which will include performances by night and an immersive viewing experience during the day.
The Dreamverse experience, which combines physical and digital elements, will be presented in partnership with TIME. There will also be a virtual reality experience on site for attendees to witness.
Dreamverse will feature a new digital collectible, Everydays: The First 5000 Days, by Beeple, which is widely regarded as the most prestigious in the industry. Earlier this year, $69 million was paid for the artwork, which was a 5,000-image collage.
Among the great works of NFT that are yet to be performed is the festival. RA and PLS&TY will perform at the event alongside dance music superstar Alesso, who will debut his first NFT track. On OneOf, a new NFT platform geared specifically towards the music community, the Swedish hitmaker will launch his NFT.
It is Metapurse’s goal, as its founder is known as Metakovan, to demystify NFTs so that they become more understandable.
“NFTs are still thought of as abstract or virtual. Dreamverse is what happens when NFTs make landfall,” Metakovan explained. “This is a celebration of a vibrant, diverse, empathetic community. A merging of the physical and digital realms, Dreamverse is an expression of the renaissance we have been experiencing the last few years.”
The launch of Dreamverse at Terminal 5 is scheduled for November 4th. Tickets are available now.
